While the major music-industry battles free internet downloads sites many people are asking themselves: "To pay or not to pay? How much and to whom?"

These questions will probably be discussed a long time after we are gone. So the real question is: "What can we contribute to solving this dilemma?" Membrane Records wants to give artists and bands a chance to publish their works, and an opportunity to get themselves known and appreciated on a wider scale.

Not only does the music industry control how much you pay, but it also controls what you get to buy in the stores and to listen to on the radio. Many great artists are not very "marketable" from the majors' point of view. Therefore we are making a selection of cool albums at hot prices available through the internet and through promotional sales.
